O.K. I know there are a few, or more than a few Soccer fans out there.
I became a huge passionate fan of the game when I lived in Germany for 2 years. I now live in Columbus, Ohio and am a HUGE Columbus Crew fan.
I also am a big fan of Chelsea (EPL), Boca Juniors (Argentina), Kaiserslautern (Bundesliga), Mallorca (Spain), and Inter Milan (Serie A).
I would like for this thread to be about all things SOCCER. So all you Soccer Fans out there UNITE. We can talk about Rules, who is going to win UEFA, the MLS, whatever as long as it's Soccer.
By the way here are the teams I do not like: Man U, River Plate, AC Milan, Real Madrid, Liverpool, Arsenal, TFC, and anyone else playing against the Columbus Crew.
Lets have fun with this thread, please no threats or anything too demeaning.

I am a HUGE soccer fan!! I played for 8 1/2 years and got rather good at it, if I do say so myself. I am no longer physically able to play (I was absolutely devastated when I found that I couldn't play anymore), but I still love to watch. I don't really follow it though, so I don't have any favorite teams.

My screenname should give away who I support! I came up with it WHILE living in Columbus and going to grad school at OSU. I'm NOT a Crew fan. Sorry.

While I support DCU now, I'm not a huge fan of any MLS team. Now that the Rowdies have returned, they are my new old team once again.

The only other team I really follow is Partizan.

BTW - I've been involved with pro soccer since 1975. I've never played and I'm NOT a soccer mom. I AM a referee. Guess I should say that in MLS, I support the REFEREES!

Your a referee? You support the Referees?
Wheres my Yellow card?...lol
THERES NO SUPPORTING THE REFEREES IN FOOTBALL...lol.
Well mutinywxgirl since your a ref let me ask you a question.

What would you do to help the poor officiating in the MLS?
I believe the officiating in incredibly inconsistent at best. I believe we need to import some European officials to MLS and export some MLS officials to Europe for some porper experience. What do you think?

Here is another question to all of us REAL FOOTBALL (not throwball) SUPPORTERS.

Do you support John Terry losing his armband after what he did?

I know this might sound like a silly question. However I have a Christian friend who said what he did has nothing to do with his leadership. Which about made me jump out of my skin. How could he say that?

Also rumor has it that Jose Muorinho is going to either Liverpool of Man City. I personally would like to see him go to Man city because I really don't like Sir Alex, and to see Jose win the Manchester Darby would be awesome.

Allright let me hear your predictions.

UEFA CL Match.

Man U vs. AC Milan.

It's David Beckham against his old team. Which is a nice little piece of side drama.

I do not like Sir Alex, and I believe that AC Milan will do very well in the Champions league.

MAN U 1
AC MILAN 2

Anyone agree or disagree?

My heart says Porto. However to see what Arsen Wenger has done with Arsenal this year is amazing. His team was not suppose to finish in the top 4 this year, and yet they are performing and getting results.

So I will go with...

Arsenal 2
Porto 0

This could be Fabregas last year at Arsenal.
It alos looks like they have extended negotiations again with the Players Union in MLS. I am really worried that there will be a players strike.

LOL You are my Christian Brother and I Love yo....well wait you are a United fan...lol
After the disgusting way Chelsea played against Man City, and the humiliating thing that John Terry did to Wayne Bridge, it's really tough being a Chelsea fan.....That being said COME ON CHELSEA.
Either way it's coming down to the last match to see who wins between Chelsea and United.

You might be right;but I wouldnt count out Arsenal just yet. They've already played Utd,Chelsea and Liverpool twice and the only real threat left on their schedule is Tottenham and Man City.

Vince you are absloutely right. United and Chelsea face each other one more time. And Arsenal doesn't really play anyone in the top four until Tottenham and Harry (Houdini) Redknapp. If Arsenal cant win this year then they only have themselves to blame.
Because Chelsea seem to be imploding, and you never kbnow what your going to get with Sir Alex.
The table is set for Arsenal to win the Premiership. The best news of all however is that I can say LIVERwho?...

Allright Mr.Bradley is a few days away from picking his 23 players.
However I am more interested in the starting 11.
Here are my starting 11.

GK-Tim Howard (He thrives in big game, plus I'm not big on Guzan, he can let the week shots in)

Defenders

Jay Demerit (as far as I'm concerned he clenched the spot when he played against Spain in the Confederations Cup).

Oguchi Onyewu (as long as he is healthy he is a force to deal with)

Carlos Bocanegra ( Solid in Defense)

Steve Cherundolo (As far as I'm concerned Jonathan Bornstein lost his possible starting spot against Holland, he was horrible)

Midfielders:

Landon Donovan-He is probably the best American Midfielder Ever. And if you watch the EPL he has proven he can do great things at the top level.

Jose Torres- I know this in a very controversial move. However he showed in the friendly against Holland that he will make the most of every opportunity. Plus it would be good to have that pace and skill on the field if we cant get Davies back.

Clint Dempsey- If he is healthy and in shape, he is awesome.

Micheal Bradley- He runs his tail off, and can open things up. He was imopressive against Holland.

Forwards

Jozy Altidore - Lets be honest he is the only true American Striker we have. (Sorry Brian Ching)

Robbie Findley- The U.S. is somewhat weak in the Striker position, and I believe that Brian Ching plays very inconsistent. You dont kno what your going to get.when he plays.

So that is my starting 11 against England in the first match of the World Cup. What do you think?

I am addicted to that stuff too.

My Champions League-Question:
Which two teams will we see in Madrid?

Semi-final draw:

Lyon v Bordeaux - Bayern v Manchester
Arsenal v Barcelona - Inter v CSKA

I think Barcelona is going to win it. Runner-up will be Bordeaux.
The other two Semi-finalists will be Bayern and CSKA.

My Europa-League-Question:
Which teams will we see in Hamburg?

Semi-final draw:

Hamburg v Liege - Fulham v Wolfsburg
Valencia v Atletico - Benfica v Liverpool

In my eyes Hamburg will win the cup.
Runner-up: Valencia
The other semi-finalists will be Fulham and Liverpool.
